 Peter Griffin
He is the head daddy of family guy, the head of the house. He's also the main protagonist of the show, who is always somehow messing everything up playing his games. The main writer and director of the show voices peter, and its said he created the character in the year 1999.

Do you know where the voice of peter griffin came from? Seth Macfarlane has stated his high school janitor had this voice, and he's basically copied it for the character. You'll notice a slight rhode island accent present, If you've ever been there to hear how the locals speak. The cartooning on the show is all in the same style, much like the simpsons has a distinct cartoon style throughout, so does family guy.

Early in the series, Peter works at a local toy factory as the safety inspector, obviously the wrong man for the job. But the right man to make a hit television show. There are so many toys, t-shirts, dvds, and hot selling merchandise thanks to him its just unbelievable.

Lois Griffin
Have you ever seen that funny show Mad Tv? The character Alex Borstein (former character) does the voice of lois, and very well too. She was brought up in a wealthy family, only to marry a guy like peter. Who worked as a towel boy at the country club her parents own.

Now you'll find lois teaching piano lessons to make a living, and at the start of the show her playing is displayed with the catchy theme song. She is always trying to patch things up in the family, and keep the harmony. Meanwhile her son Chris is really stupid, and her daughter insecure. On top of those issues, her baby is evil and intends to take over the world. The family guy characters are certainly a handful for the concerned mother, whose husband isn't exactly sharp either. Lets take a look at the next character.



Chris Griffin
A popular hollywood actor named Seth Green plays the rather annoying voice of Chris Griffin. Frankly I can't stand the way he talks. Anyways, chris is peter's son, and he has the same level of intelligence as his father. Just 14 years old, he is going to high school along with his sister meg. In one episode, he almost made it as a famous new york artist, as his talents seem to be in painting. Of all the family guy characters I actually like this one the least, I don't think he's all that funny or dynamic.

Meg Griffin
It looks like all the characters in family guy are voiced by famous people. Mila Kunis from "that 70's show" plays the voice of meg griffin. A highly insecure teenage girl who is looking for love and acceptance, but is only left with a strange family and lots of humiliation. It was really funny when her dad peter griffin said the first four years of her life, he thought she was a cat. Classic.

Stewie
Now here's a character from family guy that nobody can forget about. He is your classic evil baby. Stewie Griffin wants to take over the world, and is constantly building advanced technologies right from home. His parents never pick up on any of this. Can they hear his voice, or do they only hear baby talk? I believe they cannot hear him speaking. Stewie later becomes a gay character, as seen in the family guy movie.

Brian the Dog
The most intelligent character in all the family guy games and television shows, is actually brian the dog. Also voiced by Seth Macfarlane, Brian is constantly above all the nonsense going on to a deeper understanding of things. Only stewie can really understand him, and vice versa.

Brian was originally picked up by Peter, a stray dog on the streets who needed a home. This makes peter his best friend, despite the fact that he's not very bright. Brian is very witty and loves to drink. That pretty much sums up all the family guy characters. A funny family which are now world famous.
